I need the help of everyone on the Trauma List.
You may remember a year ago Karim was kind enough to host the
first part of the work of the London Severe Injury Working Group on
the trauma.org server. This group has continued working to plan the
optimum future configuration of trauma services for Greater London.
A Draft Report has now been published, and we urgently need the
views of the trauma community about whether we are moving in the
right direction. The report can be downloaded and the key
recommendations seen at (http://freespace.virgin.net/t.coats). If you
are interested in the mathematical modelling that has been used to
assess various options, the details of this are also downloadable
from this site.
Please would you look at the report and fill in the feedback form? I
know that both the report and the feedback form are long, but this is
a vital part of planning future trauma care for 12 million people, and
your help (whatever your professional background) is really needed.
In particular we would like to hear from those of you who have
experience of developing or working in a Trauma System where
trauma victims are concentrated in a relatively few hospitals.
Please pass this email on to any other forum that you think may be
able to help us.
With many thanks,
Tim.
