Pret,
>From one moron to another,
On this side of the world a lift is what you may call an elevator. As far as
matresses and castors are concerned, the reason I was given during my
training regarding the ability to defib on hospital beds and Ambulance
Stretchers was that they had rubber based matresses and wheels and so you
shouldn't get a jolt.
I knew a guy who shocked a pt on the metal deck of a ferry and got a
sizeable whack himself. Anyone who makes a habit of shocking on metal
surfaces has my blessing as long as they don't crew with me. This is why I
queried elevators - considering they are constructed of metal afterall.
I hope that clarifies it and proves I don't need to be sectioned.
Keep Smiling
David
Ambulance Officer (NZ)
